Meet the team

behind the Metaboards

Nedko Ivanov



Nedko joined Metaboards in January 2018 bringing more than 20 years international experience in the hi-tech sector gained within blue-chip multinationals and VC-backed businesses. Most recently he served as a CEO of Redux where he built a successful global business that was acquired by one of the biggest global brands. Prior to that he was a CEO of BullGuard where he created significant shareholder value.

Nimrata Boora



Nim trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte, specialising in auditing SME’s within the tech sector before switching to the world of start-ups. Prior to joining Metaboards Nim served as CFO of Redux, who completed a successful exit in August 2017.

Dr Irina Khromova

Head of Science and Technology


Irina leads the development of new technologies and products. Her broad scientific and technical expertise includes metamaterials and spans from RF engineering to THz technologies and nonlinear optics. Irina holds a position of Assistant Professor at the Public University of Navarra. She holds a PhD in Physics and a PhD in Electrical Engineering. Irina has worked at leading universities in the UK, Spain, Russia, Australia, Netherlands and Denmark.

Ben Bartram

Head of Engineering


Ben joined Metaboards in June 2018 from Qualcomm. Previously he has spent much of his engineering career in the wireless communications sector with Motorola and Sony Ericsson plus 5 years as a consultant at a small wireless design consultancy in Canada. Ben also worked at Nujira developing cutting edge envelope tracking solutions for cellular handsets.

Dennis O'Donovan

VP Operations and Supply Chain


Dennis has 30 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, working with multinational companies such as Motorola, Nokia, Vertu & Philips. He has also worked with technology start-up companies including Purple Labs as founder and CEO and most recently as VP Operations & Supply Chain at Redux, who completed a successful exit in August 2017.
